Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) –Two Men Shot Dead and Two Wounded: The Bethel Town police have now commenced a full investigation into the shooting death of two men, and the shooting and wounding of two others in Lambs River, Westmoreland on Tuesday morning, July 18.
Two Men Shot Dead: Those killed have been identified has Garfield Francis, 34-year-old unemployed of Belvedere District and Kenton Cassel, 32-year-old also unemployed of Cave Road, Westmoreland.
The two other men who were also shot and injured in the incident are presently at the hospital in critical condition.
Reports by the Bethel Town Police are that about 11:00 am on Tuesday, Francis along with Cassel and the other two victims were traveling along the Lambs River main road in a black Toyota Corolla motor car registered 0184 GJ.
On reaching a section of the roadway, the path of the vehicle in which they were traveling was blocked by three men traveling in another Grey Toyota Corolla motorcar.
Two of the men alighted from the car, brandished handguns and opened fire on the four occupants in the vehicle.
The gunmen then escaped in the waiting motor car while all four men received gunshot wounds to their upper bodies.
Other motorists in the area assisted them to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where Francis and Cassel were pronounced dead and the other two men admitted.
