Jamaica Crime News, Manchester: Two men were shot and killed hours apart in the parish of Manchester, on Wednesday, January 2.

They have been identified as 28-year-old Kevin Timol of Trinity district and 22-year-old Nicholas Smith laborer of Hopeton district, both in Manchester.

Reports by the Porus police are that about 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Timol was among a group of persons standing at a gate in Trinity district when they were approached by three men traveling on board a Toyota ProBox motor car.

One of the men alighted from the vehicle and opened fire hitting Timol multiple times to his upper body.Β  He was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

About four hours later, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Smith was walking along a section of the Porus main road, when he was ambushed and shot multiple times by unknown assailants,

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Smith was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
