Two Men Held with Stolen Noah Bus, in Kingston

A stolen motor vehicle was recovered along a section of Old Hope Road, in Kingston 5, on Friday, February 26, during a joint operation carried out by officers attached to the Matilda’s Corner police, and the Police Emergency Communications Centre.

The police have reported that, in mid-January, the owner of the 2015 grey Toyota Noah bus contracted the vehicle to a man, who said he required it for his company fleet.

Some six weeks after renting the vehicle the man still did not return to the owner, and the incident was reported at the Spaulding police station, in Clarendon.

The report was also passed on to the Police Emergency Communications Centre at about 4:20 pm, on Friday, and a description of the vehicle given.

The Jamaica Eye Technology was put into play, and a team of officers attached to the Matilda’s Corner police was alerted that the vehicle was spotted traveling along a section of Old Hope Road, with two men on board.

The vehicle was intercepted, and the two occupants were taken into custody.
