Jamaica News: Two men were charged on Wednesday, May 06, for firearm related offences in two separate incidents in Port Morant, St. Thomas and Vineyard district, St. Elizabeth.
Charged are 46-year-old Clayton Williams, otherwise called ‘Buff’ of Old Pera district, Port Morant in St. Thomas and 24-year-old Akeem Brown otherwise called ‘Frazzle Dog’ farmer of Vineyard district, St. Elizabeth.
Williams was charged with Unlawful Wounding, Assault Occasioning Actual Bodily Harm and Illegal Possession of Firearm. It is reported that about 8:30 p.m., on Wednesday April 29, Williams used a firearm and a plastic pipe to inflict wounds to a man. He was arrested and later charged following a question and answer session.
He is scheduled to appear in the St. Thomas Parish Court on Wednesday, July 01.
Meanwhile, Brown was charged with Assault at Common Law and Illegal Possession of Firearm after a man reported to the Police that about 10:00 a.m., on Tuesday, May 5, the accused threw a bottle at him, pointed a gun at him and threatened him.
His court date is being finalised.
