Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Two Men Arrested for Breaches of the Dangerous Drugs Act: Detectives assigned to the Narcotics Division seized several packages containing white powdery substance resembling cocaine during an operation on the Cave main road in Westmoreland yesterday.
Two men were arrested in connection with the seizure.
According to police reports, at about 6:45 PM, detectives stopped and searched a 2010 Audi motor car occupied by two men.
During the search of the vehicle, seven rectangular packages wrapped in brown masking tape were found inside the trunk.
Further checks revealed that the packages contained white powdery substance resembling cocaine.
The packages weighed approximately 17 pounds and have an estimated street value of over $9M.
Both men were taken into custody and will be questioned in the presence of the Attorneys.
