Two Men Arrested in Connection with Firearm Seizure in Kingston 13

Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: Two men were taken into custody in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition in Kingston 13 on Wednesday afternoon, August 22.

The names of both accused are been withheld pending further investigations.

The Hunts Bay Police have reported that about 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, a team of officers were carrying out patrols duties along sections of Nelson Road in Kingston 13.

On reaching a section of the roadway,  the lawmen came upon a group of men. On seeing the police approaching, one of the men threw an object over a wall and they all ran.

The police gave chase and managed to apprehend two of the men. They were brought back to the location and the object was retrieved.

The police later discovered that it was a 9 mm semi-automatic pistol,  loaded with Seventeen live 9mm rounds.
