Two Men Ambushed and Killed in Orange – St James

St. James, Jamaica (McN) – Two men were shot and killed at a shop in the community of Orange – St James on Wednesday night, April 12.

Families and friends broke down in tears Orange – St James as they found it hard to come to terms with the murders of Marvin Campbell a 32-year-old cloths vendor and 40-year-old Horace Glaze, laborer – both of Orange district.

Reports are that about 9:40 pm on Wednesday, Glaze and Campbell were among a group of patrons at a shop located along St Patrick’s Drive, which is at the entrance of the Dove Cot Cemetery in Orange.

Some time later a car drove to the area and three men armed with handguns alighted from the vehicle and ambushed the men. Campbell was shot at the entrance to the small shop, while Glaze was killed while sitting in his Toyota HIACE mini bus.

The gunmen then made their escape in the waiting motor car.

Both victims were rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

In the meanwhile friends and families of Glaze and Campbell related that both men were two hard working individuals who cared for their families. They say Both men were loved by their community members who did not deserve to die in that manner.

Investigators pointed out that they are now working with some strong leads and they expect to make some headway into this latest double murder by the end of this week.
