Jamaica Crime News: The St James police have seized two more illegal firearms and several rounds of ammunition in the parish of St James.
This latest seizure which occurred on Tuesday, August 7th, have sent the total of illegal weapons seized in the parish since the start of the year, to 64.
The most recent seizure took place on Tuesday morning in the community of Norwood.
Reports by the Montego Hills police are that about 6:30 am, a team of officers carried out an operation at a section of Norwood community, called Water Lilly drive.
The lawmen carrying out a search of an abandoned unfinished building, and dug up a black plastic bag which was buried in the building.
A search of the bag led to the discovery of a Glock 9mm semi automatic pistol along with three magazines and a Beretta pistol with two magazines.
Also, Twenty 5.56 rifle rounds were found.
