Kingston, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)Two High School Students Suspended: The two students who physically abused a teacher at the Camperdown High School in Kingston were suspended today.

As a result, the teachers of the School; who wore black to show their displeasure with students’ indiscipline at the institution, staged a peaceful protest this morning.

According to reports, a female teacher was physically abused by two grade 10 students yesterday.

The teacher was squeezed between a door and a grill and her hands wrung behind her as the students tried to get back at a cellphone she had confiscated.

Principal at the School Valentine Bailey confirmed the peaceful protest by teachers.

He said during the incident, the Chairman of the School Board was at the school and gave full instructions on how to handle the matter.

Mr. Bailey informed that the teacher is fine

The protest did not disrupt classes or affect the sitting of internal or external examinations.
