Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News)- TWO GUNMEN FATALLY SHOT IN WESTMORELAND: Two alleged gunmen one of who the Westmoreland police say has been on top of the parish most wanted list since 2013 were fatally shot during a police operation carried out in the parish on Wednesday morning.

It is also reported that a female who is a relative of one of the men was in the area during the confrontation was caught in the crossfire and she was also shot and injured and has been admitted to the Sav la Mar Hospital in serious condition.

The dead gunmen are said to be Garth Anthony Stewart otherwise called (Gun Dog) 33 years old unemployed and Davian Whyte both of Cane Cannon District in Darliston, Westmoreland.

Reports by the police are that during the hours of 11:00 pm on Tuesday to 4:00 am on Wednesday a police team carried out an operation in Cane Cannon District. It is further reported that the team went to a house where it is said that Stewart was spotted, upon approaching the premises they came under heavy gunfire from men inside the house.

The fire was returned and during the shooting two of the men who were later identified to be Stewart and Whyte were shot and killed. Two illegal weapons a 3.50 magnum containing six live rounds and a 9mm semi-automatic pistol loaded with two live rounds were taken from both men.

Also, investigations carried out after the shooting revealed that a female who is said to be a relative of Davian Whyte was shot and injured while been caught in the crossfire.
