Jamaican News, March 9, 2018 – Two Gunmen Arrested
St Ann, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – The police in St Ann on Wednesday afternoon, March 7, apprehended two men and seized one illegal firearm during an operation carried out at a section of the parish.
The lawmen reported that they seized a 9mm Beretta semi-automatic pistol, loaded with one live round. Those arrested have been so far identified to be a 34-year-old mechanic of Ochi Rios and 22-year-old laborer of St Catherine.
Reports by the police are that, a team of officers responded to a message that two armed men were traveling in a Toyota Corolla motor car, in the vicinity of the Fullington Park main road.
The lawmen rushed to the area where they carried out an operation in a bid to apprehend the gunmen.
The vehicle in which both men were traveling was intercepted along a section of the Cave Valley road, close to the border of St Ann and St Catherine. The vehicle was searched and the search led to the seizure of the illegal firearm and both men were arrested.
