Montego Bay, St James (McN) – Two security guards, 26-year-old and a 33-year-old, who both resides in Montego Bay, St James found themselves behind bars on Tuesday morning when one of the men were found in possession of a firearm belonging to the other.
The owner of the firearm and the man in possession of the firearm were as taken into custody and slapped with charges.
Reports are that, about 10:30 am on Tuesday, a team of officers were on patrol in the Trinity Crescent area of Montego Bay when they came upon both men who were walking along a section of the roadway.
Upon seeing the lawmen the security officers started to act in a suspicious manner and they were searched.
The 26 years old security guard was found to be carrying a licenses 9mm semi automatic pistol belonging to the other security guard.
He was arrested and charged with Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition.
The 33 years old security officer who is reported to be the owner of the firearm was charged with Aiding and Abetting Illegal Possession of Firearm and Ammunition.
