Jamaica Breaking News, Manchester: Two persons have been confirmed dead and six others seriously injured, in a four-vehicular collision which occurred along a section of the Melrose ByPass in Manchester, on Wednesday evening, May 9.
Investigations have also confirmed that, two other victims had to be cut from the wreckage of one of the trucks involved in the crash.
Reports are that shortly after 5:00 p.m., the ill-fated vehicles which includes two trucks, a bus, and an SUV, were traveling along the roadway in the vicinity of the Melrose ByPass.
On reaching a section of the ByPass, all for vehicle got involved in a four vehicular collision.
The impact of the crash saw all four vehicles been extensively damaged. Two persons, one of whom was allegedly traveling in the SUV, sustained head and body injuries and died on the spot.
Police personnel and firefighters were summoned to the scene, where the firemen worked swiftly to cut two of the victims from the wreckage of a Nestle Truck.
A total of six other persons were rushed to hospital and admitted in serious condition, while the police had their hands full to clear up the massive traffic pile-up which resulted from the horrific collision.
