Norwood, St. James (McKoy’s News) – Two Brothers Murdered in Paradise Norwood: Two men were shot and killed and two others were taken into custody following a shooting incident which occurred at a section of Paradise, Norwood on Monday morning.

Two men were taken into custody in connection with the double murder of two brothers in Paradise Norwood.

The two brothers murdered have been identified as Okon Johnson otherwise called ” Wissy Wassey ” 20-year-old, and Patmore Johnson otherwise called ” Fruity ” 26-year-old, both of Paradise Crescent.

Two men, one 20-year-old and an older man of the same address have since been taken into custody in connection with the murders.

The Barnett Street police report that both brothers, who reside in a tenement yard with both suspects, got involved in an argument on Sunday night. The argument continued into Monday morning and escalated into a physical confrontation.

About 8:30 am on Monday, the confrontation between the Johnson brothers and the other two men got out of hand and several gunshots were heard.  Both brothers were seen running from the direction of the home of both accused, covered in blood.

It was discovered that both men had multiple gunshot wounds to their upper bodies.

The Barnett Street police were summoned, and upon their arrival, Okon and Patmore were transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

Following an investigation by the police, both suspects were taken into custody.

The investigators were again summoned to the area at about 2:30 pm on Monday. where it was reported that the son of one of the men who are now in custody was shot and injured.

The police say they believe that this latest shooting is an act of reprisal for the double murder of the brothers.
