Two men who were travelling on a motorcycle in Portland late on Thursday afternoon, are reported to have died after the motorcycle crashed into another vehicle. The crash occurred on the Blue Berry Hill Road in the parish.
According to reports, just moments before 6:00 p.m., a sports utility vehicle (SUV) apparently collided with the motorcycle.
Both riders sustained serious injuries and reportedly died as a result.
The Portland police are investigating the incident as they continue to implore riders to slow down and take the necessary precautions to preserve their lives.
