Two Arrested For Illegal Firearm in Williamsfield

Jamaica Crime News: Two Arrested For Illegal Firearm in Williamsfield – Two persons were taken into custody in connection with the seizure of an illegal firearm and several rounds of ammunition, at a house in Williamsfield, Manchester on Saturday, February 9.

The police say the names of the two accused are being withheld pending further investigations.

Reports by the police are that about 6:30 a.m., on Saturday, a team of officers carried out an operation at several premises at a section of Williamsfield known as Melrose Gardens.

During the operation, premises occupied by the two accused were searched. A Beretta 9-mm semi-automatic pistol fitted with a magazine containing eight live 9-mm rounds was seized.

Both occupants were taken into custody.
