Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Two Alleged Gunmen Fatally Shot: Two alleged gunmen were fatally shot by the police in St James on Friday morning, December 29 and two illegal firearms seized.

The dead men have been identified so far only as, Shawn Dent and 19-year-old Akeem Taylor, both of Albion in St James.

Reports are that, shortly after 4:45 am on Friday, a team of officers went to a section of Albion in search of the two men who are said to be linked to several shootings and murders which occurred in the parish recently.

According to the police, upon arrival at a premises, they came under heavy gunfire from men who fired on them from inside the building.

The fire was returned and during the shooting, both men were shot.

The men were found in connection with two illegal guns, a Taurus 9mm semi-automatic pistol and Smith & Wesson 9mm semi-automatic pistol loaded with several rounds.

Both men were transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

A team from the Independent Commission of Investigations is now still carrying out investigations at the scene.
