Jamaica News, April 16, 2018 – Trelawny Police Corporal Suspended

 Trelawny, Jamaica (McKoy’s New) – A police corporal who is assigned to the Clarkes Town police station in the parish of Trelawny, was placed on immediate suspension following an incident which occurred last Thursday, where the cop was caught on camera allegedly using expletives to a Justice of the Peace.

Reports are that on Thursday afternoon, April 12, the police corporal was among a group of other officers who were at a shop in Clarke’s Town Trelawny.                                                                                                                                                                                                                    It is further reported that an argument developed between the police corporal and the Justice of Peace when the Corporal started to use a barrage of expletives to the Justice of the Peace and behave in a boisterous manner.

Persons at the location use their cell phones to video the confrontation between the cop and the JP, and the video was brought to the attention of the Commissioner of Police, Major General Anthony Anderson.

After viewing the footage, the Corporal was placed on immediate suspension following an investigation.
