Jamaica News, April 9, 2018 – Tragic Love Triangle Ends in Murder and Suicide
St Catherine, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – An alleged love triangle which turned sour, ended with one man chopping his alleged girlfriend to death, before taking his own life by hanging himself on Friday, April 6, in Linstead, St Catherine.
The female has been identified as Olive Golding, otherwise called “Lur” 56-year-old Domestic Helper of West Prospect District in Bog Walk, while the identity of the male has been given so far only as Kirk Roxburough, otherwise called “Coolie” of Sherton District.
Reports by the Linstead police are that about 7:00 a.m. on Friday, Roxburough went to his neighbour’s house and borrowed a machete and informed him that he was going to chop some Coconut.
Several hours passed and he did not return with the machete. About 9:30 a.m., the neighbour went in search of him, but upon reaching the house he could not find him.
He became curious and upon investigating, he discovered the body of the woman which was wrapped in a sheet in the room of the house.
The neighbour raised an alarm and alerted the police. Upon arrival, the lawmen discovered that Golding had multiple chop wounds to her head and upper body. Her neck was also partially severed from her body.
Further search of the premises, led to the discovery of Roxburough’s body which was hanging from a length of rope tied from the branch of a tree in the yard.
