Kingston, Jamaica ( McKoy’s News) – Tower Street Correctional Centre: Firefighters are now fighting a raging fire at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Centre.
Reports are that passers-by saw smoke coming from the buildings and called the firefighters. The blaze is threatening to spread throughout the institution, where hundreds of prisoners are housed.
The institution was formerly known as the General Penitentiary.
