Tour Operator Killed in Fatal Crash in St James

A St Ann Tour Operator died from injuries he sustained in a motor vehicle accident that occurred along a section of the Rosehall main road, in Montego Bay,St James, on Monday, August 17.

The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Godfrey Junior Roper, of St Ann Bay, in St Ann.

Reports by the police are that about 9:45 pm, Roper was driving a Nissan Tida motor car, along the Rosehall main road from the directions of Montego Bay towards Lilliput.

On reaching the vicinity of the Holiday Inn Sunpree Resort, Roper lost control of the vehicle continued which skidded off the roadway and crashed into a wall.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, Roper was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.
