Tiler Shot and Injured by Port Cop in Montego Bay

Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Tiler Shot and Injured by Port Cop: Investigations are now being carried out by the Barnett Street Police in Montego Bay into the shooting and wounding of a 47-year-old Tiler by a Port Cop in Montego Bay on Monday morning.

Reports are that about 12:00 midnight on Monday (August 28, 2017) the Port Cop was on duty along Union Street when an argument developed between him and the tiler who hails from 11 Union Street.

It is further reported that the Tiler armed himself with a piece of sharp iron which he used to attack the Port Cop. In a bid to save his own life the Port Cop pulled his firearm and opened fire hitting the tiler to the upper body.

A report was made to the Barnett street police who drove to the scene. The wounded tiler was admitted to the Cornwall Regional Hospital in serious but stable condition.

A team of Detectives attached to the Freeport CIB department are now conducting investigations into the shooting.
