A Trelawny man was arrested and charged by the police, after he attempted to shoot another man, during a dispute in Deeside Community, on the weekend.
The accused who is now facing charges of Shooting with Intent, has been identified as “30-year-old Yannik Johnson, otherwise called ‘Three Piece’ a labourer also of Deeside, in the parish.
Reports by the police are that about 9:20 pm, Johnson and another man got involved in a dispute along a section of the main road in Deeside,Trelawny when he reportedly pulled a handgun and opened fire at the other man.
The victim managed to escape unhurt and later made a report to the police, where Johnson was picked up, and later pointed out in an identification parade.
A court date has not yet been set for the accused man to appear.
