7-year-old among Three Persons Killed in St Catherine Crash

St Catherine, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – 7-year-old among Three Persons Killed: Three persons, including a seven-year-old boy, were killed in a vehicular crash along the Bog Walk Gorge in St Catherine yesterday, according to reports from the Bog Walk police.

The three persons have been identified as 7-yr-old Ajani Parkes, his mother, 29-year-old Sheryl Francis-Parkes of Mickleton District, St Catherine and a woman identified as Jean Grant.

According to reports from the police at about 7:00 p.m., Francis-Parkes was driving a Toyota Corolla motorcar with her son and Grant aboard.  On reaching a section of the gorge, she was unable to negotiate a corner and collided with a Leyland Freighter truck travelling towards Spanish Town.

All three persons sustained multiple injuries and were rushed to hospital where Francis-Parkes and Grant were pronounced dead and Ajani died while undergoing treatment.
