Three Perish in Two Motor Vehicle Collision in Trelawny  

Jamaica Breaking News, Trelawny: Three persons including an elderly woman perish in a fiery motor vehicle collision which occurred along a section of the Duncans Bypass in the parish of Trelawny on Monday afternoon, April 30.

The police say they are unable to give the identities of the three victims at this time, but they stated that two of the victims are believed to be two males, who were traveling in one of the ill-fated motor car and the female in the other.

Reports are that shortly after 1:00 p.m. on Monday, the two unidentified persons were traveling in a Nissan Tida motor car along a section of the Duncan’s Bypass.

On reaching a section of the roadway, the driver collided with a Toyota Corolla motor car which was operating as a taxi and traveling in the opposite direction.

The impact of the crash resulted in the Nissan Tida motor car bursting into flames and both passengers were burnt beyond recognition.

The elderly woman who was traveling as a passenger in the taxi motor car along with three other passengers sustained head and body injuries.  The female died on the spot, while the other wounded passengers were rushed to the Falmouth Hospital where they were admitted.

The Falmouth Fire Department was alerted and one unit responded.

Upon arrival, the firemen put out the blaze and the bodies were later removed.
