Three men are now in police custody, following the seizure of an AFUS 94C pistol, fitted with a magazine containing seven live rounds, during a joint military operation carried out in Spanish Town, St Catherine, on Saturday morning, December 29th.The identities of the accused men are being withheld pending further investigations.
Reports by the Spanish Town police are that about 10:00 a.m., on Saturday, a joint military team carried out an operation at premises located at Johns Road, in Spanish Town.
During the operation, a premise was searched, and it resulted in the discovery of the weapon which was seen covered at the top of a sand bed.
All three men who occupied the premises were taken into custody.
