Montego Bay, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) – Third Alleged Gunman Fatally Shot by Police: Since the start of the week, the St James police say they have removed four illegal firearms from the streets of the city,  in the process three alleged gunmen were fatally shot.

The latest victim has been identified as, Andrew Anderson, 28-year-old laborer of Sugar Mill area of Ironshore.

Reports are that, about 10:00 pm on Friday, July 7th the police got information that a man was spotted at Harvey Beach with an illegal gun.

Further reports are that the police rushed to the area and upon arrival, Anderson reportedly brandished the firearm and fired at the police.

The lawmen took evasive action, returned fire and Anderson was shot.

A semi-automatic pistol containing several rounds was taken from him.

Anderson was transported to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Since the start of the week, the St James Police fatally shot three alleged gunmen and seized four illegal weapons.
