A state funeral for the late former Prime Minister of Jamaica, Edward Seaga, will be held this Sunday, June 23, at the Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity, located along George Headley drive in Kingston.
Government officials have slated this week as a period of mourning, which commenced yesterday, June 19.
There will be a special sitting of both houses of parliament, in tribute to Mr Seaga and this period will end on Saturday.
Mr Seaga’s body lies in state at the National Arena from yesterday, June 19 and will continue into today, June 20.
Edward George-Phillip Seaga who was Jamaica’s fifth Prime Minister, died on his 89th birthday on March 28, at a hospital in Miami.
Edward Seaga will be laid to rest this Sunday, at the National Heroes Park.
