Teenager Chops Brother to Death, and Injures Father, in Top Trelawny

Latest Jamaica News, Trelawny (McKoy’s News): Teenager Chops Brother to Death – A 19-year-old teenage boy who reportedly chopped his elder brother to death, and his father almost to death, during a dispute at their home in Litchfield district, Trelawny, on Wednesday, is now in police custody.
The deceased has been identified as 23-year-old Jevaughn Powell, farmer of Litchfield district in Trelawny.
Reports by the police are that shortly after 2:00 a.m., on Wednesday morning, the two brothers along with their father were at their family house in Litchfield district, when an argument developed among them.
It is reported that the male accused who is identified to be the teenage son, used a machete to inflict chop wounds to his father’s head, and then chopped his older brother to death.
Residents in the community who saw the altercation summoned the police and upon their arrival, they found Mr. Powell with chop wounds to his head and neck, and the son Jevaughn chopped to death.
The scene was processed and Mr. Powell was rushed to the Falmouth Hospital where he was admitted in serious condition, and the body of the deceased pronounced dead at hospital.
The accused man was later taken into custody in connection with the incident.
