A 17-year-old, boy who reportedly pulled an illegal firearm at his father, and then fired one shot at him in Inverness district, in Clarendon, on Thursday, January 31st, was taken into custody by the police and slapped with illegal charges.
The name of the accused teenager is been withheld.
Reports by the police are that about 8:45 a.m., on Thursday, the accused teen and his father were at home in Inverness District, when an argument developed between the two.
During the dispute, the accused reportedly brandished a handgun and fired one shot at his father, but the elderly man managed to escape unhurt.
He then went and made a report to the police, and upon the arrival of the lawmen, a search of the teen’s room led to the seizure of three live 9-mm rounds.
Following a search in the community, the teen was seen and held, and a homemade handgun was taken from him.
