Jamaica Crime News, St Catherine: A 15-year-old boy died from gunshot injuries, while allegedly playing with a loaded licensed firearm in Portmore, St Catherine on Wednesday, October 10.

The deceased has been identified as Daniel Ray of a Salt Pond address, also in St Catherine.

Reports by the Portmore Police are that about 3:30 p.m., Daniel was reportedly playing with a licensed firearm, when the weapon accidentally went off and shot him in his head.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded teenager was transported to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

An immediate investigation has now been officially launched into this latest shooting.
