A teen stabbed his 60-year-old father to death inside their Queens apartment early Thursday – and needed to be tased by responding cops, authorities said.
The 19-year-old suspect – who has no prior arrests – attacked his dad inside the home on 230th Street near 146th Avenue in Brookville, police said.
The NYPD responded to a 911 call of a “violent emotionally disturbed person” with a knife inside the home around 12:45 a.m., authorities said.
When they arrived, they encountered the knife-wielding teen who then attempted to barricade himself in the home, cops said.
Officers deployed a Taser to subdue him, police said.
His dad was found inside the home with stab wounds to his chest and a slash wound to his arm, authorities said.
Cops attempted to treat the older man at the scene, but he ultimately succumbed to his injuries at Jamaica University Hospital Medical Center.
He has not been identified pending family notification.
The teen was taken into custody and brought to Long Island Jewish Hospital for an evaluation.
He was not immediately charged.
The knife was recovered.
The father and son do not have a history of “domestic incidents,” police said.
The teen son also does not have a recorded history as an “emotionally disturbed person,” cops said.
The motive for the deadly violence remained under investigation later in the morning.
