Ocho Rios, St Ann, (Mckoy’s News)- St Ann Wanted Men Killed: two men police term as armed and dangerous, and wanted in the parish of St Ann in connection with several serious crimes across the parish, were shot and killed by members of the police force in the Parry Town community of Ocho Rios, on Wednesday morning, January 10.
The dead are 34-year-old Kirkland Gowe, otherwise called Sauce Man, and 23-year-old Cabrina Rose.
Reports are that about 8:00 a.m., a police operation in the town of Ocho Rios, St Ann received information that a group of suspicious men was seen entering a building in Parry Town.
The team of police arrived at the area for investigation, and as they approached the building, they were reportedly surrounded by a hail storm with bullets, in a massive gunfire.
St Ann Wanted Men Killed: The armed force reportedly took evasive action and a gunbattle ensued, after which the police said the two men were found suffering from gunshot wounds.
The gunmen were taken to the St Ann’s Bay Hospital, where they later died. While two other gunmen involved in the shootout escaped.
Police seized a revolver with one live round of ammunition at the scene.
Gowe was reportedly wanted for shooting with intent, illegal possession of firearms and ammunition, robbery with aggravation and absconding bail. He was a suspected in a number of shootings and robberies in the Ocho Rios area.
Rose was wanted for questioning as a person of interest in connection to the same crimes.
Police say the gunmen were known members of the ‘Teacha’ gang.
