Taxi Operator Stabbed Almost To Death in St James

Latest Jamaica News, St James: A 47-year-old taxi operator who resides in Paisely District, St James, was stabbed multiple times by another man from his community, and is presently at hospital in serious condition.

The police have reported that criminal charges has since been laid against 44-year-old Roxroy Robinson, unemployed of Paisely district, in connection with the stabbing incident.

Reports by the police are that about 12:15 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, both men were in their community when an argument developed them.

Robinson reportedly got a knife which he used to inflict several stab wounds to the taxi driver’s stomach.

The wounded man was rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital, and the police informed of the incident.

Following an investigation, Robinson was arrested and charged.
