Jamaica Crime News: Taxi Operator Shot and Injured in Papine – A 49-year-old, taxi operator is now at a hospital in serious condition after he was shot and injured by gunmen along a section of the Papine main road, in St Andrew.

Reports are that about 8:00 p.m., the taxi operator was transporting passengers when he was attacked by a gunman posing as a passenger on reaching the vicinity of Mona Preparatory School.

The taxi operator was shot by the gunman, but he managed to drive away and sought assistance from passing motorist.

The police were summoned and the wounded man was transported to hospital where he was treated and admitted.
