Montego Bay, St. James (McN) – The police in Montego Bay, St. James are carrying out investigations surrounding the shooting and wounding of a 37-year-old taxi driver in the community of Rose Heights on last Monday morning.
The victim has since been admitted to the Cornwall Regional Hospital in stable condition.
Reports are that, about 10:00 am on Monday the taxi operator drove to a section of Rose Heights known as Washington Boulevard to visit his father.
Upon reaching the area, he parked the vehicle and was walking towards the house when he was pounced upon by a lone gunman who opened fire hitting him to his lower body.
The wounded victim managed to run into the yard and was later assisted to the Cornwall Regional Hospital.
