Tattoo Artist Murdered in St Elizabeth by Police Impersonators

Jamaica Crime News, St Elizabeth: A 19-year-old tattoo artist was shot and killed, and two other persons were shot and injured, by men posing as police officers in St Elizabeth on Friday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Omario Ross, who resided at Villa Pepper district also in St Elizabeth.

Reports by the Black River Police are that about 1:30 a.m. on Friday, October 5, Ross and the two other persons were at home when a group of men posing as police officers forced their way inside the house.

The armed men held them at gunpoint and proceeded to rob them of cash and other valuables.

Before leaving the premises, the armed men opened fire hitting all three occupants to their upper bodies.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the wounded victims were transported to the Black River Hospital, where Ross was pronounced dead and the other two admitted in serious condition.
