St Mary, Jamaica (McKoy’s New) – The Islington police in the parish of St Mary say they are now carrying out investigations, surrounding the suspected drowning of a man in the parish on Sunday afternoon, April 16.
The deceased has been identified as Miguel Mills, 37-year-old laborer of Ranch District in Highgate, St Mary.
Reports by the police are that about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Mills and a group of friends went for a swim at a beach located in Robin Bay.
It is reported that while swimming in a section of the water the friends noticed that he had gotten into difficulties.
They made attempts to rescue him but he drowned before help could reach him.
