Jamaica News: The Green Island police say they are now in search of one man who they believe can assist them with their investigations surrounding the shooting death of a woman in Santoy district, Green Island, on Sunday night September 15.
The police say they are unable to release the identity of the suspect at this time, but he is been sought for questioning in connection with the murder of 30-year-old Alecia Smith, of Fish River Road also in Green Island.
Reports by the police are that about 9:15 p.m., Smith was walking along a section of the Fish River Road when she was attacked by armed men.
She turned and ran, but she was chased and shot multiple times to death by her attackers. The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Smith was discovered suffering from gunshot wounds.
She was transported to Noel Holmes Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
