Two Students Wounded in Ferncourt High School Stabbing Incident

Jamaica News, Marck 2, 2018 – Ferncourt High School Stabbing Incident

St Ann, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – On Thursday morning (March 1, 2018), the police were called to Ferncourt High School in St. Ann due to a fight at the institution in which two students were injured.

Reports are that sometime after 8:00 a.m., several students were involved in an altercation which led to the stabbing of two boys.

The boys were then taken to the St. Ann’s Bay Hospital, where a 14-year-old was admitted with a punctured lung and the other, who sustained wounds to his neck and leg, was treated and released.

Officers from the Moneague and Claremont police stations, members of the Community Safety and Security branch, as well as, officials from the Ministry of Education were called to the school.

Lisa Hanna, Member of Parliament for the area, was also present to assist in restoring calm to the institution.
