Jamaica News, Westmoreland: Students of St. Christopher’s Nursing Academy in St.James make reservations to visit fire victims in Savanna-la-mar, Westmoreland to aid them with health and food necessities.

The nine fire victims who managed to survive this traumatic experience are having a hard time coping as not only are they in poor health conditions, but some of them were even left homeless.

The visit to these fire victims serves as a help to there basic needs. They are expected to be provided with food, hygienic and health necessities. Students will also be visiting Camille Lewin from the Savanna-la-mar hospital to get a preview of the proper nursing etiquette in hospitals.

The venture was made possible with the assistance of the Principal for the Nursing School, Lola Cunningham, who teamed up with the Rotary Club of Montego Bay. The organisation will also be lobbying to the relevant authorities to see if they can get any help with a house from Food For The Poor. Miss Cyline Wedderburn and Linval Johnson will be a part of the delegation.
