Student Involved in Shooting Incident Where Teacher Was Killed, Is Still in Critical Condition

The St Catherine police have reported that rumors that the nephew of a 35-year-old teacher, who was shot and injured during a shooting incident which claimed the life of the teacher at their home inWestmeade in Bridgeport, St Catherine, on Wednesday morning, has died at the hospital, is not true.

Investigators say the wounded teen still remains at the hospital in critical condition but is not dead as it is being said in the public.

The only victim of the shooting has been identified as Clevon Campbell, who teaches at the Belmont Park Primary school.

Reports are that shortly after 3:00 a.m., on Wednesday, Campbell and the teenager were at home when armed men forced their way inside the house and opened fire on them.

The police were summoned and upon their arrival, Campbell and the teenager were rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead and the teenage boy admitted in serious condition.
