Montego Bay, St James (McKoy’s News)- Strand Street In Montego Bay Is Filthy: Several business places on the lower section of Strand Street and South Street in Montego Bay, close their businesses on Friday, November 17, after several thousand gallons of sewage waste was seen coming from the several manholes located in the area.
The waste stretched to several hundred feet in the region, due to the fact that the motorists who use that section of the road have to drive through it to get to their various destinations. This matter is a cause for concern, because it has been happening regularly, causing the loss of thousands of dollars in sales.
Several pedestrians who also use that section of the roadway have to be shouting to the drivers of their cars, as they fear they may get splashed with the waste water.
‘I can’t operate here no more, this is getting to me as this is a regular occurrence.’ said a business woman who operates a grocery shop in the area.
