Jamaica Crime News, Kingston: The State of Public Emergency in sections of the Corporate area has now been extended.

The extension to the State of Public Emergency was unanimously approved in the House of Representatives on Tuesday, October 2 and will now continue until the next three months, up to January 2019.

The State of Public Emergency was implemented in the Corporate Area by Prime Minister Andrew Holness on September 23.

Since then the security forces have been carrying out lawful duties in sections of Kingston Western, Kingston Central and St. Andrew South, in a bid to rid the country of criminal and criminal elements.
