Stadium Police Station Firebombed

Jamaica Crime News, St Andrew: On Tuesday morning,  September 11, persons unknown to the police,  attempted to burn the Stadium Police Station to the ground with the use of a firebomb.

Officers attached to the Stadium Police Station,  which is located along Arthur Wint Drive,  in St Andrew,  stated that approximately 8:10 p.m., the thugs threw a Malatov Cocktail bomb on a section of the building.

The officers immediately alerted the Fire Department and upon their arrival,  the firemen worked swiftly to put out the small blaze.

A search was made of the area to apprehend .those responsible, but the attempts were unsuccessful.

In the meanwhile, one police source stated that he believes that this was an act of reprisal against the police, for the fatal shooting of a man in Swallowfield district on Monday night.
