Jamaica News, March 5, 2018 – St Thomas Shopkeeper Found Dead

Westmoreland, Jamaica (McKoy’s News) –  The Morant Bay police in the parish of St Thomas are now carrying out investigations, surrounding the circumstances which led to the death of an elderly woman in the parish, on Sunday night, March 4.

The victim has been identified as  77-year-old Eugene James, shopkeeper of Duckenfield Hill,  Golden Grove also in St Thomas.

Reports are that about 8:00 p.m., residents went to James premises and discovered her lying in bed in an unconscious state.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, the elderly shopkeeper was transported to the Morant Bay hospital where she was pronounced dead.

Investigators pointed out that they believe foul play is involved in her death.
