Jamaica Crime News, St Thomas: Detectives attached to the May Pen Police Department in St Thomas , say they are now working with some strong leads surrounding the shooting death of a former female People’s National Party Councillor, at her home in Albion Boulevard in St Thomas, on Sunday morning, February 10.
The police identified the dead woman as 67-year-old Marjorie Morris otherwise called “Ms Madge” farmer and political activist of the above address.
One police source told Mckoy’s News that, they now have some very strong leads that they are following and at this present time they have at least two persons under their radar as Persons of Interest in connection with Ms Morris death.
Reports by the police are that about 6:30 a.m. on Sunday, one of Morris’ relative discovered her lying in a pool of blood on her kitchen floor.
The police rushed to the location and upon arrival, Morris was discovered lying on the floor of her kitchen with multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body.
The scene was processed and Morris’ body was transported to hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Morris formally represented the White Horses Division as a People’s National Party Councillor for Western St Thomas. Her death has come just a few days after another People’s National Party politician, Dr Lynvale Bloomfield was discovered stabbed to death in his home in Portland.
