Jamaica News, February 24, 2018 – St Thomas Female Security Guard Killed:
St Thomas, Jamaica (Mckoy’s News) – The shooting murder of a Pondside, St Thomas female security guard on her way to work, in the wee hours of Friday morning caused mayhem in the area, as police investigators closed off roadways leading to the main road.
The woman killed has been identified as 36-year-old Jahleet Jeffery, a security guard of a Pondside address, in the parish of St Thomas.
Reports are that about 5:15 a.m., on Friday, February 23, Ms Jeffery was shot on killed on her way to work in the company of her boyfriend who is an armed security guard, and was escorting her to the Pondside main road.
According to reports, while the couple walked from the lane to the main road, a gunman jumped from the bushes just before they reached the main road, and attacked them with gunfire.
Jeffery’s boyfriend allegedly returned fire while chasing the attacker who escaped on foot.
Mckoy’s News was told that when Jeffery’s boyfriend returned to the intersection of the lane and the main road, he discovers that Jeffery had been shot multiple times in the shoot-out.
She died on the spot.
Police blocked off the area as they investigated, causing significant traffic back-up along the main road.
