St Thomas Common-law Couple Facing Murder Charges Remanded

Jamaica Crime News, St Thomas: A St Thomas common-law couple who are both charged with the double murder of a Canadian/Jamaican couple at their vacation home in Retreat, St Thomas, were remanded into custody when they appear before the St Thomas Circuit Court on Monday, July 9.
The two accused Fabian Skervin and his common-law wife Nekkia Thompson are both facing charges of murder and two counts of Robbery with Aggravation committed against 81-year-old Melbourne Flake and his wife 70-year-old Etta Flake on January 9, 2018.
St Andrew Police Seeks Help to Identify Murdered Victim
They were both remanded into custody and ordered to return to court on Monday, July 23, by presiding Judge Justice Sharon George.
Reports by the police are that about 10:20 p.m. on Tuesday, January 9, the bodies of the elderly couple were discovered at their vacation home. The hands and feet of the couple were bound and Mr. Flake had a section of his head bashed in while his wife was suffocated.
An intensive investigation later led to the arrest of the common-law couple.
