Jamaica Crime News, St Mary: The police in the parish of St Mary, say they are now seeking the public’s assistance, to identify human remains, which were discovered chopped and placed in a bag, along the Devon Pen main road on Monday, October  1.

The police say they are now asking members of the public who have a family member or friend missing, to report it at the nearest police station.

The lawmen also stated that, the victim who still remains unidentified, was in an advanced state of decomposition.

Reports by the St Mary police are that about 12:00 p.m. on Monday,  residents smell a foul odor coming from a large bag, which was dumped along a section of the Devon Pen main road.

Upon investigating, the bag was found to contain the human remains believed to be that of a male.

The police were summoned and upon arrival, they carried out an investigation and discovered that the bag contained body parts of a human being.

The parts were in a decomposing state, and the lawmen theorized that the victim was killed elsewhere, his body chopped up and placed in the bag, then dumped at the location.
